As the summer holidays are in full swing, it’s a great time to get out with the kids and try some sports. A favourite in our house at the moment is rugby. Little miss Holly has been playing it at school and has developed a bit of a passion for it. So, this weekend, there were a few hours rain free, we headed off to our local park to throw a ball around.
OK, I’ll admit, I know very little about rugby. I’ve enjoyed the occasional match… as a spectator. But if there’s a certain way to pass the ball, or do things then it’s all lost on me. Thats why I left all that to Glyn and Holly, whilst I was busy holding the camera. Thats what I do best.
You don’t have to be an expert in sports to enjoy it. Seeing my daughter and my fiancé play around in the park, and have so much fun made me super happy. I love that my daughter has an interest in sports, especially one that encourages team work and skill.
In honour of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the great chaps at Allianz got in touch to share that they are celebrating their partnership with Saracens RFC by creating an online initiative to bring people from all walks of life together through Rugby.
Saracens and Allianz are calling all sports fans, enthusiasts and anyone who wants to have some fun to upload their own rugby pass to the Pass Around The World website. Give it a TRY (geddit?) to win great prizes from a £150 Ticketmaster voucher to exclusive Saracen prizes, such as tickets to see them play, signed rugby balls and our top prize; lunch with the team after getting attending a training session!
It’s so easy to join in the fun, all you need to do is…
- Get Mobile Ready: Remember to turn your phone side ways to film your pass.
- Film Your Pass: The ball must come in from the left and out through the right. What you do in-between is up to you.
- Upload: Make sure your video is no more than 10 seconds long and is under 30MBs. Upload it on our website and share it with your friends!
- WIN: all entries will be submitted into a prize draw (terms and conditions apply, please visit www.passaroundtheworld.com for more information.)
Upload your pass and join the likes of Owen Farrell and his teammates, Lewis Hamilton, the Bayern Munich FC team, Paul McGinley and hundreds of people from across the world…
Where in the world will your pass go?
Filming our pass was so much fun! Why don’t you get together with your kids or your friends and give it a TRY (see, I did it again… but of rugby humour there ha ha) Who cares if (like me) you know nothing about sports… just get out and have some fun.
